Bogor, May 30, 2025 – Three postgraduate students from the Master’s Program in Nutrition Science at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Indonesia, proudly represented their institution on the global stage by participating in the 28th World Congress on Clinical Nutrition (WCCN) 2025. The congress was held from May 28–30, 2025, at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor.
Organized by Food and Nutrition Society of Indonesia (PERGIZI PANGAN Indonesia) in collaboration with the International College of Nutrition (ICN), this year’s WCCN carried the theme: “Functional Food, Sustainable Diet, Behavioral and Clinical Nutrition in the Interdisciplinary and Personalized Nutrition Era.” The congress brought together researchers, academics, clinicians, and nutrition professionals from around the world to discuss current issues and innovations in nutrition science.
The three UNDIP students were selected to deliver oral presentations on their research projects, which focus on functional food development using locally sourced ingredients:

Fairuz Zulfa presented her study titled:
“Nutritional Value of Cheese Stick Substituted with Fish Protein Hydrolysate as an Alternative Snack for School-Aged Children.”
The research introduces a nutritious cheese stick snack enriched with fish protein hydrolysate to improve children’s dietary intake. -
Salsabila Mega Kencono Ganggi presented:
“Nutritional Content in Fish Protein Hydrolysate Biscuits as an Alternative Protein Source Snack for Toddlers.”
Her research offers a high-protein biscuit formula suitable for toddlers, using fish protein hydrolysate as a digestible and nutrient-dense ingredient. -
Rahma Agniya Nugraha shared her research:
“Nutritional Analysis of Crispy Cookies from Sago Flour and Fish Protein Hydrolysate as a Potential Snack for Diabetics.”
The study proposes a low-glycemic snack made from sago flour and fish protein hydrolysate, tailored for individuals with diabetes.
These research projects were carried out under the guidance of Department of Nutrition Science Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro, involving supervisors Prof. Dr. Diana Nur Afifah, Ahmad Syauqy, Ph.D., Dr. Gemala Anjani, Ph.D., and Dr. Fitriyono Ayustaningwarno who have consistently focused on the development of nutritional science. The team also extends its sincere gratitude to the LPPM of Universitas Diponegoro for funding support through the RPKL scheme, as well as to the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia and PT Berikan Protein Indonesia for their collaboration, which made this research possible.
