Semarang, December 2025 — The commitment of higher education institutions to deliver research-based innovations with real impact on society is once again demonstrated through the launch of Nutri Sun D3, a nutritious instant porridge developed to help meet the daily nutritional needs and support healthy child growth and development.
Nutri Sun D3 is an instant porridge fortified with vitamin D3, an essential nutrient that plays a vital role in bone health, immune function, and overall child development. The product was developed by a research team from the Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) in collaboration with PT Inasentra Unisatya, representing a strong synergy between academia and industry.
One of the key advantages of Nutri Sun D3 lies in the application of freeze-dried technology, a modern processing method that helps preserve nutritional quality, maintain the natural taste of ingredients, and minimize the use of additives. This technology ensures that the product remains both practical and safe, while delivering high nutritional value for daily consumption by children and family members alike.
The development and commercialization of Nutri Sun D3 have been supported by the Downstream Research Synergy Program (Program Sinergi Hiliriset) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendiktisaintek). Through this program, university research outputs are encouraged to move beyond laboratories and be transformed into tangible products that can be directly utilized by the wider community.
Through the innovation of Nutri Sun D3, the Department of Nutrition, FK Undip reaffirms its commitment to providing research-based nutritional solutions that address public health challenges in Indonesia. This product is expected to serve as a practical, safe, and nutritious food alternative, while strengthening the role of universities in improving the quality of family health and nutrition nationwide.
