International Achievement: Master of Nutrition Science Students of UNDIP and UPI Win Bronze Medal at the 2nd International Student Competition 2026 in Malaysia

Master of Nutrition Science students of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) have once again achieved an outstanding international accomplishment. In collaboration with students from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), the team secured a Bronze Medal at the 2nd International Student Competition (ISC) 2026, held on 14–15 February 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The international competition, which brought together students from various countries, carried the theme “Global Synergy for Sustainable Development.” The event served as a global platform for young innovators to present creative and solution-oriented ideas that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants were challenged not only to demonstrate creativity, but also to deliver practical and impactful solutions to real-world issues.

In this competition, the collaborative team from UNDIP’s Master of Nutrition Science Program and UPI introduced a technology-based innovation addressing public health and nutrition issues. The project specifically focused on stunting prevention and improving nutrition literacy through accessible digital media. By integrating nutrition science with educational and digital technology approaches, the team developed a solution that is both evidence-based and user-friendly for the broader community.

The team representatives emphasized that interdisciplinary collaboration was the key to their success. The synergy between nutrition science, education, and technology enabled the creation of a solution that is not only scientifically sound, but also communicative, innovative, and implementable. Such a multidisciplinary approach is considered highly relevant to addressing increasingly complex global health challenges.

Winning the Bronze Medal demonstrates that Indonesian students are highly competitive on the international stage. This achievement further reinforces the commitment of UNDIP’s Master of Nutrition Science Program to advancing research, innovation, and cross-institutional collaboration as part of its contribution to sustainable development.

This accomplishment is expected to inspire other students to continue innovating, expanding collaborative networks, and producing impactful scientific work. With a spirit of global synergy, Indonesia’s young generation once again proves its readiness to be part of the solution to global challenges.
